AUT Sport & Fitness Centres School of Sport & Recreation City Campus

Permanent Term, full-time (37.5 hours per week; rotating AM, and PM shifts)

Our dynamic fitness team is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person with leadership and vision to take up the important position of supervising the AUT Sport & Fitness Centre on the City Campus.

The role involves:

  • Providing a professional service to meet the requirements of the Centre 
  • Providing quality exercise prescriptions, demonstrations and instruction to members
  • Managing gym systems, processes and procedures within the Centre
  • Providing leadership, guidance and supervision to fitness centre staff
  • Ensuring that the fitness centre environment is a safe working and training environment
  • Being innovative in your approach with ideas and delivery of programmes and initiatives within the Centre.

The applicant must be an experienced Fitness Instructor with a high level of programming and exercise prescription skills, and be REPs registered. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative, organisational and communication skills and be able to lead a team of instructors. They will also require attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines to ensure that the gym provides a high level of service and runs efficiently.

Salary Range: $56,500 - $75,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
