  • Diverse role supporting the Bachelor of Nursing programme

The Technician - Nursing is a member of the Clinical Team which is part of the Faculty of Health, Education & Nursing Directorate. The Technician - Nursing supports the Academic Staff delivering the Bachelor of Nursing Te Tohu Paetahi Tapuhi by effectively co-ordinating simulated learning experiences, clinical skill development and supporting in the science lab. This role will also support the Health and Foundation programmes across both Windermere and Mokoia Campuses therefore, travel will be required.

The Technician - Nursing will:

  • Be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of equipment
  • Provide technical support
  • Order and restock supplies 
  • Ensure environmental safety of the Science/Clinical Laboratories/Simulation Units.

About you / He kōrero mōu 

As the ideal applicant you will have proven capability and experience in the following:

  • Experience in a science/technical and or simulation role
  • Experience in nursing and or health assistant role 
  • First Aid Certificate
  • A current driver’s license
  • Work in a team and excellent communication skills
  • High Fidelity Simulation Training
  • Excellent IT skills, quick to learn and can independently review and master new programmes and applications
