This is an exciting opportunity for a professional and experienced Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant or Senior Administrator with a proven track record in delivering high-quality services and output at a senior level. 

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Division of Humanities. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in an ever-evolving environment.

You will be a part of the wider Divisional Services and Administration team, flexibly providing administrative services across the University. A strong relationship focus, and commitment to continuous improvement will be critical to your success. 

Key responsibilities in this role include: 
•    Being the first point of contact for the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, anticipating needs, assessing, and prioritising requests with urgency.
•    Comprehensive inbox and diary management, triaging correspondence, supporting meeting administration, event coordination and organising travel arrangements.
•    Drafting high-level communication and documentation on a range of matters.
•    Troubleshooting and initiating action to facilitate resolution and problem-solving.
•    Serve as a liaison between the Pro-vice-chancellor and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.

About our team/Mō te tīma

Executive Assistant roles are part of the Divisional Services and Administration Division, a team of highly skilled professional staff responsible for delivering an outstanding student and staff experience through high quality, effective service delivery to the University’s internal and external customers. 

The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Division of Humanities, provides leadership, direction, and vision across the Humanities Division and University.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) permanent position, located in Dunedin. 

We offer a competitive salary, five weeks annual leave, a 6.75% superannuation scheme, and the ability to achieve real work/life balance.
