About the role

Wintec has constructed the most modern, innovative Engineering and Trades Training Centre in Australasia. We need your help to enable the learning of our present and future trades people in this new facility.

Are you an ideal candidate? 

As an Electrical Engineering Tutor you will have an outgoing personality and be comfortable working in a progressive team. You’ll liaise with colleagues in the industry, and encourage students’ innovation and creative thinking. In this tutoring role you can enhance the region’s professional quality while influencing the direction of your industry.

As part of our modernisation program we are in the process of redeveloping our training to better meet the needs of industry by getting the students working on practical projects, working in teams, thinking critically and problem solving to ensure they are work ready.  Your willingness to adapt to change is paramount. 

Your ability to communicate and motivate will be of paramount importance as you facilitate learning by passingon your knowledge of electrical trade theory and practice. New Zealand registration as an Electrical inspector or Electrician with a current practicing licence is essential. Experience in the Electricity Supply Industry and/or IMC would be an advantage.
