  • Early Childhood Evaluative Lecturer Positions- Initial Teacher Education

The School of Education/Te Kura Mātauranga in the Faculty of Culture and Society, AUT University, is a leading provider of education programmes at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels.

We are seeking applications for Evaluative/Mentor Lecturers to work in our Early Childhood programmes. This is a contract position to visit, mentor, and evaluate student teachers on practicum placements. Applicants should state their experience in mentoring as senior teachers and knowledge of the appropriate sector in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Please note that full teacher registration with the Teaching Council of New Zealand is mandatory. The successful applicants will be required to travel across Auckland to visit students at their practicum centre.

The role would suit a recently retired middle or senior leader, teachers who are working part-time and teacher educators who have previous experience in Initial Teacher Education. We are unable to accept applications from teachers who are working full-time in schools or centres.
