Updated: 2 months ago
Job Type: Temporary
Deadline: 22 Feb 2024

The School of Education/Te Kura Mātauranga in the Faculty of Culture and Society, AUT University, is a leading provider of education programmes at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We are currently seeking applications for Evaluative Lecturers to work with practicum students in our Early Childhood Initial Teacher Education programmes.

The role of Evaluative Lecturer is a casual contract position that involves visiting, mentoring, and evaluating student teachers on practicum placements. Successful applicants will be required to travel across Auckland to visit students in their practicum centres.

The role would suit experienced teachers who work part-time, recently retired teachers with leadership experience and teacher educators with experience in Initial Teacher Education. Due to the flexibility required for this role, we are unable to accept applications from teachers who currently work full-time.

Applicants are asked to specify their prior mentoring experience in the Early Childhood Sector in Aotearoa New Zealand. Teacher registration and a current (full) practising certificate with the Teaching Council of New Zealand are mandatory.
