Domestic Recruitment Manager

Lead our high performing student engagement team with a focus on attracting domestic student enrolments.

Mō te tūka | The role

We are seeking applications for an energetic, forward-thinking leader to attract domestic students to the University.  

You will be responsible for the internal and external relationship management that creates pathways which engage with and attract domestic students, from undergraduate to postgraduate and PhD. 

You will lead a high performing Engagement Team of seven direct reports, while actively working across the University and with external partners to research new opportunities and build relationships to convert expressions of interest into applications and enrolments.

Key responsibilities associated with this role include:

  • Domestic relationships and profile
  • Domestic student recruitment and conversion
  • Staff management
  • Budgets and reporting

This is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week based at our Lincoln Campus. Domestic travel within New Zealand will be required as part of this role.

Remuneration for this role is set at $115,000 - $125,000 per annum.

Kā tino Pūkeka/Whēako | Essential skills/experience for the role

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Three or more years' experience in a similar stakeholder, customer or account management role
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Marketing, Education or Business (preferred)
  • An energetic and enthusiastic approach to providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships
  • Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • A passion for thinking outside the box, and challenging traditional ways of doing things
  • Proven ability to manage and report on a budget
  • Proven time-management and organisational skills and the ability to manage projects to completion within agreed timeframes and budget
  • Experience within the education sector (preferred)
  • Full, clean Driver's Licence
