Director International Engagement
Lead international development strategies to increase enrolments of international students, build our international networks, and grow research opportunities.
Mō te tūka | The role
We are seeking applications for a motivated, forward-thinking leader to attract international students and new research opportunities to the University.
You will be responsible for the internal and external relationship management that creates pathways which engage with and attract international students, from undergraduate to postgraduate and PhD as well as research opportunities to Lincoln.
You will lead a highly motivated International Engagement Team of five direct reports, while actively working across the University and with external partners to research new opportunities and build relationships to convert expressions of interest into applications and enrolments.
Key responsibilities associated with this role include:
- International relationships and profile
- International student attraction
- Staff management
- Budgets and reporting
This is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week based at our Lincoln Campus. International travel will be required as part of this role.
Kā tino Pūkeka/Whēako | Essential skills/experience for the role
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree (honours/post graduate preferred)
- Minimum five years' experience in an education environment in a similar role or related field
- Demonstrable knowledge of drawing on additional resources to provide appropriate support and advice for customers.
- Experience in communicating confidently with stakeholders at all levels, as well as developing and maintain existing relationships
- Demonstrable knowledge of degree structures and the value of research in a tertiary setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships
- Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude
