Join our supportive, passionate team as a Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) Coordinator and Academic Staff Member to deliver our bicultural nursing programme.

The dedicated education unit coordinator role is a key leadership position within the Te Puna Whai ora nursing department to develop, maintain and evaluate this model of student learning in the clinical practice environment. 

Within the academic staff member role, you will contribute to developing high quality nurses through facilitating learning in the classrooms, online and in clinical skills labs through the generation of evidence-based research and practice. You will actively participate in the team and institution environment as well as work with students in clinical practice settings. 

Key to your success in this role will be your demonstrated ability to: 

· Develop and deliver effective co-ordination and relationships with clinical partners/key stakeholders 

· Develop and deliver bicultural, contextual and responsive tertiary education 

· Use a learner-centred approach to facilitate learning with diverse students 

You will have: 

· In depth experience in the nursing/healthcare industry

· A Masters qualification in a related field (or working towards it) 

· A current NCNZ Annual Practising Certificate 

· A minimum of 3 years post-registration experience 

· Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi 

· Skills and/or qualifications in te reo Māori and adult teaching (highly advantageous)
