Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for a Data Analyst Pasifika on a permanent, part-time contract who will support the work of the Office of the Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Pasifika) and the Pasifika Student Success team to drive continuous improvement for the University’s Pasifika community through data analytics.

The Office of the Assistant Vice-Chancellor—Pasifika operates in a culturally responsive manner to support both Pasifika students and staff.

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is committed to the success of Pasifika students and staff, through the goals set in the University’s Strategic Plan and the Pasifika Strategy and Operational Plan.

You will need to source and gather relevant data or work with existing datasets, and the people who produce them, to ensure they are suitable for analysis, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and relevance to university decision making.

You have a passion for data and analytics, with the ability to present complex ideas and data in creative and accessible ways to a variety of audiences.

You will be well organised and relish working autonomously as well as contributing positively to the team. You will need effective time management and forward planning to balance meeting deadlines and remain calm under pressure and thrive working with a diverse range of stakeholders.

As an effective problem solver, you will be solutions focussed and be able to think creatively when approaching problems and challenges.
