We now have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Projects Officer to join the School of Accountancy in a full-time, one-year fixed term capacity, covering a parental leave period. The successful appointee will need a strong knowledge and understanding of University policies and procedures and the ability to produce accurate reports and agreements. 

This role is based on our Palmerston North campus. You will work closely with the Head of School and other academic staff in providing analytical and administrative support aligning with the domestic and international strategic initiatives of the School.  You will also provide supervision to the professional services staff within the School.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have proven knowledge and experience in project management and service delivery. 
• Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of supervisory and administrative skills,
• Advanced working knowledge of MS Office suite and SharePoint,
• Be a fast learner and exceptional problem solver as well as having a willingness to learn new skills as required.
