Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
The specialty of this Clinical Educator role is in child and family psychology, equipping our students to succeed across sectors in care and protection, mental health, educational, clinical and community settings. You will be at the forefront of supporting students to develop their psychological knowledge and practical clinical competencies, contributing to the supervision, teaching and assessment of child and family psychological practice. You will be based in the Pukemanu Centre where all first year professional students of the programme are based to develop core foundational skills and competencies to work in this area.

Mōu | Who You Are
To be successful in this role you will have a Master's Degree in Psychology and be registered in the Clinical, Educational or Psychologist Scope of Practice with the New Zealand Psychologists Board.
You will also have at least 5 years post-qualification experience including:

  • Experience applying evidence-based treatments
  • Training in clinical supervision, and experience in providing clinical supervision to students
  • Experience in providing assessment and treatment in community settings with broad range of clients
  • Competence in computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Competence in delivery of post-graduate level practical teaching
  • Recognising Te Ao Ngāi Tūāhuriri - values, tikanga (processes), kawa (rules) of cultural practice and traditions and valuing Te Reo Māori
