We have a Chef vacancy within the University Union’s Catering Department, for our Carrington College kitchen.

University Catering is a large food operation catering over 7500 meals per day to ten University Colleges and supplying food from our large diverse Central Production kitchen to five Cafes and our busy Conference and Event operations on campus.

Your skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako

We are looking for candidates with:
•    Previous experience in the hospitality industry.
•    Preferably a fully qualified Chef (City of London Guilds or equivalent).
•    Very strong customer service focus.
•    Outstanding communication skills.
•    Experience operating a food safety program.
•    Experienced delivering high quality, varied and nutritious meals, considering any special dietary needs.

This position is permanent, semester time only, full-time (40 hours/week). Hours of work are on a rostered basis, but predominantly Monday to Friday.

The salary range for this position is $28.07 to $30.87 per hour.
