Position Overview
The Campus Services Team at the Massey University Wellington require a CampusCare Assistant to support the delivery of a range of functions, including but not limited to: security, furniture relocation, cleaning, waste disposal, recycling, mail sorting and delivery, logistic support, pest control, emergency management, and event support. This work is essential to help deliver positive campus experiences for our students, staff and visitors on the Wellington campus.
We are looking for someone who has experience within either facilities, furniture moving, emergency management, civil defence or security.
Desirable skills and experience:
- Experience moving furniture and heavy objects is essential.
- 1 - 2 years of experience within the facilities management sector in a hospital or educational setting is desirable.
- Emergency management, civil defence and/or security are desirable.
- Previous experience in a trade-related role is desirable.
- Demonstrable experience working with customers is essential.
- Relevant experience in the security industry and/or traffic enforcement is desirable.
- Current full drivers license is essential

It is a busy role, so a can-do attitude, willingness to learn new skills, and the ability to work as part of a team is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively on many different levels with a wide range of people.
