The role/Te mahi

We are looking for a Cagewash Support Technician to assist within our Facilities.

Duties are varied and involve equipment sanitisation, operation of industry specific equipment, and direct involvement in our containment and sterilisation processes. 

There is also scope to be trained in basic animal husbandry procedures. Biomedical Research Facility (BRF) operates in units across campus so movement between several facilities may be required.

Your skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako

We are looking for candidates with:
•    Knowledge of working and caring for animals.
•    Demonstrable experience of cleaning routines and use of disinfectants.
•    Experience of using and maintaining machinery.
•    The ability to plan, organise and prioritise a busy workload to specific timelines.
•    Well-developed relationship and communications skills.
•    Good computer skills (essential).
•    An ability to produce clear and concise records (essential).

This is a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours) position, located in Dunedin.

Some weekend and statutory holiday work will be required on a rostered basis.

The appointments range for this role is $55,538 to $59,904, Top of Range $64,270.
