A position is available for a Café Chef to open our new outlet - Kōkihi Café - which will be focused on a menu that reflects a wholesome healthy eating ethos using produce grown on site. This outlet will be based on our North shore campus at Akoranga and part of a new building development that will be at the heart of the campus. We need a passionate food focused person to provide an innovative selection of delicious food that will not only taste great but help our customers to feel great as well.

This role will report directly to the AUT Group Executive Chef. AUT Commercial Services operates a variety of food and beverage outlets across four campuses as well as multiple conferencing and events on and off site.

You must have previous hands-on experience of running a successful Cafe kitchen team for at least 5 years, including rostering, logistical planning and working alongside a commercial garden team to make the best of seasonal produce as it becomes available.

Kōkihi Café will be open Monday to Friday and will also cater for events as required, AUT is a great place to work and offers career advancement across our Commercial Services Division.

You must be eligible to work in New Zealand to be considered for this role.

Salary Range: $31.87 - $33.70 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
