We are currently looking for a permanent part time Cafe Assistant to join our on Nelson Campus Café Ake Ake. We are looking for an experienced barista with outstanding customer services and welcome applications for between 15 and 20 hours per week. You will need to be able to work flexibly on a roster basis, Monday- Friday between 9-2.30pm. Rosters are discussed and agreed two weeks in advance. Extra hours may also be available week to week to cover events, sick days and annual leave.

Do you have café experience and want to work school hours? Are you self-motivated, outgoing with a commitment to customer services and keen to have Christmas and New Year off?

To be successful in this role you will need: 

  • Barista skills experience and a passion for coffee -essential
  • Commitment to outstanding customer services 
  • To be able to work flexibly on an agreed roster
  • Reliable team player who is comfortable following instructions and calm under pressure
  • Cheerful, friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with guests
