The role

This is your chance to join an iconic New Zealand tertiary education institution in a role that will see you working to grow the reputation and brand of the Otago Business School for entrepreneurship education.

Working alongside the DCC Chair in Entrepreneurship, you will aim to effectively market and attract 20+ qualified students into the Otago Business School’s Master of Entrepreneurship (MEntr) programme for 2022.  You will also identify and target avenues through which the programme could expand its offering.

Your skills and experience

This Business Development role is well suited to someone with a passion for working within start-up companies or in start-up supportive communities and an interest in entrepreneurship.  Ideally you will have some experience working in a similar business development or sales / marketing related role and the ability to work with both senior management and undergraduate students. Other desirable attributes include:

•    Proven business acumen and results focused.
•    Ability to effectively and diplomatically relate to a diverse range of people and cultures.
•    Proficiency with digital technologies.

The position is suited to someone who is driven and has high levels of energy to succeed in a complex and challenging environment. You need to be a highly effective communicator at all levels with everyone you work with internally and externally, so if you have exceptional relationship and communications skills, we would love to hear from you.

Further details

This is a full time, fixed term position for 12 months.
