Open Polytechnic is currently recruiting for an experienced Business Analyst to join the IT & Strategic Projects team, the Open Polytechnic's hub for planning and delivery of strategic projects. If you want to grow your business analyst career and have a real desire to make a difference, we would love to hear from you.

Our Business Analyst's are responsible for working closely with the business to anticipate and capture business requirements, perform business analysis, and then apply creative and innovative thinking to specify and design appropriate solutions. Working consultatively with business, you will understand business needs, offer informed advice, and translate into well-defined specifications.

You will have:

  • Strong experience as a Business Analyst, someone who excels in understanding problems and gathering requirements to deliver business solutions
  • Adept at dealing with ambiguity, connecting the dots, and working with complexity
  • Experience in analysis, design and deployment of a range of business applications systems
  • Great communication skills
  • Experience working with CRMs and process automation
  • Experience with working with rapid application development approaches e.g. Agile, Scrum
  • A results-orientated approach with initiative, drive and a commitment to achieving objectives
  • Great relationship-building skills
  • An understanding of the tertiary education sector in New Zealand
