An opportunity is available to join the Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies (DCT) in the role of Assistant School Registrar, Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences.
The Assistant School Registrar is a key member of the School of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences working as part of a team to establish and manage student and academic services, systems and processes that meet Faculty and University requirements. The effective performance will enhance the student and staff experience in areas related to quality assurance, academic integrity, examination coordination, timetabling, student enrolment, progression and graduation.
This is a complex role dealing with a wide range of issues across a large School with inter-related disciplines. The role requires an understanding and interest in the tertiary sector, combining an understanding of strategic issues along with the capability and interest to deal with individual students and the details of programme administration. Success in this role contributes to the smooth running of the School in accordance with external and internal requirements. The role works under guidance, but not under the constant direct supervision and requires a high level of individual initiative and self-direction.
The incumbent must be able to work autonomously, with the ability to make decisions that might impact student progression or quality assurance matters. Establishing and maintaining effective relationships will be crucial to the success of this role. They will need to work in collaboration with a wide range of people at different levels across the School, Faculty and University. This will require highly developed communication skills, a high degree of initiative, self-direction, and professionalism.
The Assistant School Registrar needs to have an understanding of the issues affecting the university and the wider tertiary sector. They will be expected to represent and advocate on behalf of the School in Faculty and university-wide forums where appropriate.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $89,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
