Academic Staff Member Youth Worker

Join our passionate Social Work team as an Academic Staff Member (ASM) to deliver our Level 4 Certificate in Youth Work.
Within this role you will contribute to developing high quality Youth Workers through teaching in the classroom and online; researching; creating, reviewing, and updating resources and teaching materials; assessing students’ work and practice; assisting with the recruitment and care of students; and actively participating in the team and institution environment. You will also be making connections in the Youth work community to provide placement opportunities for students, and visiting them on placement.
Key to your success in this role will be your demonstrated ability to:
· Develop and deliver effective partnerships with key stakeholders
· Develop and deliver bicultural, contextual and responsive tertiary education
· Use a learner-centred approach to facilitate the learning of diverse students
You will have:
· A Bachelor’s degree in a related field
· Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
· Knowledge of te reo me ona tikanga Māori
· Current Social Work Annual Practicing Certificate (or ability to apply for one)
· Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures
· Suitable practitioner experience
