This exciting role sits within University of Canterbury's Advancement Team, which comprises Development (fundraising), Alumni Relations, and Advancement Services.  From its earliest beginnings in 1873, philanthropic support and the generosity of donors and supporters has played a major part in making UC the respected institution it is today. Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
Working closely with the Director of Advancement, you will develop, maintain, and execute policies and procedures to ensure UC leadership has access to comprehensive, accurate, and well-organised information, and all gift processing and management processes adhere to the CASE Global Reporting Standards .

You will manage the Advancement Services Team to align UC's Advancement operations to industry best-practice, establish efficiencies, oversee compliance, ensure donors have an operationally superlative giving experience, and ensure UC's alumni database is accurate and comprehensive.

Mōu | Who You Are
The ideal candidate for this exciting opportunity will be an experienced advancement services professional with a strong understanding of the operational and strategic linkages between the alumni relations, annual giving, and major giving portfolios. You will understand fundraising within the tertiary education sector, and the ways in which a robust and well-structured database assists and supports a successful, growing, and KPI-driven fundraising program. You will be extremely well-grounded in fundraising administration and gift processing. You will be highly self-motivated, but happy to collaborate with others to achieve ambitious goals. And you will have a strong personal commitment to the values UC embraces . In-depth knowledge of the CASE Global Reporting Standards is highly desirable, but not essential.

This position is a Band 6 (of 8) with a salary range of NZ$99,264 - $124,061.
