The role/Te mahi

As an Administrator for University Union Catering, you will join a tight knit, supportive and experienced team and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of their operations.

Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of administrative activities including:
•    Maintaining and updating training records.
•    Recruitment and HR administration. 
•    Financial administration, such as purchasing and invoicing. 

You will also be part of a wider team of administrators working across campus within Divisional Services and Administration.

This position would suit an individual who brings a willingness to learn and a great sense of humour.

Along with excellent administration skills, a strong customer service focus is critical to success in this role. 

We are looking for candidates with:
•    Proven experience as an administrator or in a customer-facing, support-based role. 
•    A passion for delivering exceptional service to customers.
•    A desire to learn new skills and a commitment to contributing to a positive team environment.
•    Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
•    Proficiency with JAMIX would be an advantage. However, training will be provided.
•    Excellent organisational and time management skills.
•    A self-starter attitude and the ability to work as part of a team and individually.

About our team/Mō te tīma

Divisional Services and Administration are a team of highly skilled professional staff responsible for delivering an outstanding student and staff experience through high quality, effective service delivery to all the University’s internal and external customers.

University Union Catering is a large food operation catering over 7500 meals a day to ten University Colleges, supplying food from the large and diverse central production kitchen to twelve cafes, and to the busy conference and events operations on campus.

This is a fixed term (12 month), part time (18.75 hours) parental leave cover position, based in Dunedin.

Hours of work are 9.00am to 12:45pm, Monday – Friday.
