Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Administrator to join the Massey Business School (MBS) to provide comprehensive, high quality administration support within the recently formed Professional Administration team.

Massey Business School is one of New Zealand’s leading and largest business schools.  We rank in the top 200 Universities teaching Accounting and Finance and in the top 300 universities for Economics and Econometrics and Business and Management Studies (QS). We were recently number 1 in New Zealand for Business Administration and Communication and number 2 for Management and Economics (Shanghai).  MBS comprises the PVC’s office and six academic units, with teaching in the following areas, across all three campuses: Accountancy, Massey Executive Development, Aviation, Economics and Finance, Management, and Communication, Journalism & Marketing.

This role available at this time will support the professional administration function across Manawatū and Auckland campuses.

It is expected that the successful candidate will be motivated, a team player, a good communicator, and capable of independent thinking.

Applicants must have at least 3-5 years of work experience in a role that involves office administration activities with a reputed organisation, and experience/understanding of HR and financial processes is essential. Experience with a tertiary organisation will be an advantage.

You will bring:

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines.
  • Solid problem solving and organisation skills.
  • A high level of personal integrity, initiative, and confidentiality.
  • Experience in serving major and complex committees.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with University systems and processes (ideally) including CiA/TechOne, FlexiPurchase, SharePoint, Power BI, Rapid, SMS and online travel bookings.

The location for this role is Manawatū but Auckland campus is possible for very well-suited applicants.

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle varying levels of complexity and meet multiple deadlines.

  • Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to question.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
