The Role: Accommodation and Welfare Advisors play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and positive experiences of students living in homestay arrangements, requiring a combination of interpersonal, cultural, and administrative skills.

This part-time, ongoing position involves support and assistance to students in areas related to homestay, well-being, and general welfare.

What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will possess:

•    Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and database software.
•    Strong attention to details and a dedication to maintaining integrity and confidentiality.
•    Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage varied and complex workloads.
•    A knack for problem-solving and implementing efficient systems and procedures.
•    Cultural awareness and sensitivity of diverse cultures.
•    Ability to empathize with the challenges faced by students and actively listen to their concerns and provide emotional support and understanding.
•    Proficiency in resolving conflicts diplomatically and mediating between students and host families when necessary.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, host families, and university staff.
•    Flexibility and adaptability to navigate a dynamic environment, considering the ever-changing needs of students and their host families.
