The School of Foundation and Bridging Education now seek an Academic Staff Member, who has the ability, vision, experience and drive to lead the development and delivery of our Foundation programmes at levels 1 and 2 and our Bridging programmes at level 3 and 4.

Reporting to the Programme Delivery Manager, you will facilitate and lead the delivery of these programmes. A key feature of your role will be the understanding of the make-up, delivery and learner audiences where vocational education represents transition and progression to higher level study and enhanced career outcomes.  This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished academic leader and teacher to contribute to the Open Polytechnic's growth and development in this vital area of our programme portfolio.

You will be Masters qualified or higher with experience and extensive knowledge of the effective provision of bridging and foundation education through formal programmes of study. It is also essential that you have sound knowledge and experience in the embedding of language, literacy and numeracy skills in teaching materials and be able to lead this aspect of our programme delivery. You will have a passion for the integration of technologies in enabling enhanced education provision. You will also have a record of successful achievement of education performance indicators and be able to maintain close and effective working relationships with students and managers. Experience working in a Corrections environment would be an advantage.
