We are looking for an inspirational academic staff member for our Nursing Academic Team based on our Nelson Campus. With the increase in student numbers, comes new and exciting opportunities to be part of a growing curriculum area with one permanent full-time positions available (1.0FTE) and part-time FTE could also be offered to a suitable candidates. 

The key responsibilities for the role are:

  • Planning, organising, delivering and assessing course content. This includes theory and practical, work and study skills.
  • Assessing and supporting learners to improve their literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Managing learner progress toward completion of qualifications.
  • Helping learners to plan for and move into the next step on their training or career pathway.
  • Keeping accurate learner records and completing paperwork to a high standard.

About you / He kōrero mōu

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Masters, or close to completion.
  • Adult teaching qualification or willing to gain qualification.
  • Registered Nurse, with current practising certificate.
  • Recent acute nursing experience.
  • Flexible and well organized.
