It is an exciting time to be part of our Toi Ohomai whanau as an Automotive Tutor (ASM). This role will involve teaching on all of our Automotive Engineering programmes, presenting in the classroom, and in our specialized training and commercial workshops. The role involves tutoring students, research, review, and update of resources and classroom materials, setting and marking assessments and results entry. You will also be responsible for assisting with the recruitment and care of students and actively participating in the team and faculty environment.

As an Academic Staff Member (ASM) you will:

  • Deliver Automotive Engineering programmes
  • Provide leadership in student management
  • Develop, plan and implement student assessment, courses and resource material
  • Monitor student progress and results and provide timely and accurate advice and support as required
  • Complete planning and timetabling for the programme as well as assisting with recruitment.

About you / He kōrero mōu 

As the ideal applicant you will have proven capability and experience in the following:

  • Qualified Automotive Engineer
  • Minimum five years post graduate industry experience
  • Passion for educating the next generation of Automotive Engineers
  • Ability to fit into a high-performance team

Training will be provided to obtain a Teaching Qualification.
