About the role

The Academic Quality Lead provides high level specialist knowledge, expertise and administrative support to enable the effective operation of the Faculty's academic quality activities and strategic academic development. The position leads, facilitates and monitors academic quality assurance processes, which can include programme development, reporting and reviews, programme accreditations, academic integrity, and managing the student administration systems in the Faculty in accordance with University policy and regulations. In addition, the Academic Quality Lead is responsible for leading the Faculty representation for, and implementation of, university-wide initiatives relating to technology and processes supporting academic quality.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an education quality assurance role
  • Previous experience within the tertiary education sector, including experience with student administration systems and quality management systems
  • Specific knowledge of University academic policies and processes, statutes and regulations
  • General knowledge of education accreditation bodies, other education providers and training organisations, such as NZQA, Universities New Zealand and CUAP
  • Investigative, analysis and reporting skills

Salary Range: $88,384 - $107,523 (appointment level and salary commensurate with skills and experience)
