Position Overview


The Office of the PVC, Massey Business School, supports five schools and one unit which constitute Massey Business School, the largest business school in New Zealand, with students based throughout New Zealand and across the globe. The Office of the PVC has coordination functions such as strategic planning, finances, quality assurance, student discipline and complaints, academic integrity, student records facilitation, research infrastructure/ oversight, the main accreditations, overseas partnerships, and industry engagement.

We’re looking for an Academic Programmes and Quality Support Analyst to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

The position may be based on any one of our three campuses, in Auckland, Manawatū or Wellington.

Some of the activities of this role include:
• Providing analytical and administration support for all the Office of the PVC’s domestic and international strategic initiatives
• Oversight of administrative processes associated with changes to qualification and course offerings for the College
• Supporting the processing and publication of results, including reconsideration of grades and exam exceptional circumstances processes, and support administration of these at College level
• Undertaking evaluations of impacts on students of changes to programme regulations, schedules, and offerings and work with various support teams in the University to implement communication plans arising from related transition plans
• Providing support for data-based insight for CET on assessment procedures and outcomes
• Assisting the College Directors in providing support and advice on matters related to College expectations, procedures, records, and systems

About you, you’ll bring:
• Demonstrated administration experience, preferably within a Higher Education setting
• A detailed understanding of University contexts, regulations, and quality assurance
• Demonstrated experience in service delivery
• Substantial administrative experience in a complex tertiary sector environment
• Demonstrated experience in analysis and evaluation
• Proven experience in stakeholder management and engagement
• Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment
• Experience in leading and managing significant projects to successful completion
• Proven experience in supporting senior academics or functions
