What you will be doing
An experienced lawyer, you will provide quality professional advice to the organisation, including General Managers, Group Leaders, Business Managers in order to facilitate business and mitigate commercial risk. You will be drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of contracts, creating specialised agreements, advising on non-standard agreements and identifying and actioning improvements to meet customer needs in the contracting process.
Working as part of a supportive and engaged in-house legal team, committed to continuous improvement, you will achieve excellent results and enjoy using your initiative, judgement and experience to offer advice to employees and mentor and assist Legal Advisors.
What you will need
- A minimum of a law degree.
- Admission, or immediate eligibility for admission as a barrister and solicitor.
- Minimum seven years relevant commercial law experience, either in a legal practice and/or a corporate environment, preferably both (experience in a CRI is preferred).
- Expertise in one or more areas to complement and expand the existing team capabilities.
- High level of skill in drafting and reviewing contracts will be essential, together with experience in contract negotiation.
- Ability to integrate both scientific, technical and business concepts into agreements.
- Ability to communicate practical legal advice in a non-technical and concise manner.
