What you will be doing | Ngā whāinga matua

Reporting to the Group General Manager People and Culture, this role is responsible for developing and delivering efficient and effective people transactional and operational services and improving our employee experience. 

Your track record leading the development and implementation of technology enabled transactional services and process excellence to improve employee experience will help you to be successful.

As part of the People and Culture leadership team you will be a key contributor to the development of a values-based culture at Plant and Food Research, enabled by high quality data, reporting and processes. You will grow and challenge your team members to develop their capabilities and to support staff and people leaders.

What you will bring | Ngā tino pūkenga me ngā wheako

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Experience leading HR/Payroll operational transformation projects in large, complex organisations. This includes end to end process review, stakeholder identification and engagement, process and business rules design and implementation.
  • Proven success in engaging stakeholders with the benefits of operational transformation projects including vendors, unions, staff and leaders and influencing positive outcomes.
  • Ability to develop and implement innovative, pragmatic solutions that are appropriate for the core business and people of an organisation.
  • Proven experience navigating between the strategic context of the organisation and the operational challenges and reality for its people.
  • A good working knowledge of employment and associated legislation.
  • Experience of leading and delivering concurrent projects in a structured way with clear accountabilities, milestone management and communications with programme sponsors and steering groups.
