What you will be doing
You will contribute to the Microbiome Mediated Health team that employs a multi-disciplinary translational science approach that integrates metabolomics with clinical measures, global gene expression as well as analysis of microbial communities to understand relationship between gut microbiome, metabolism and health.
You will be involved in designing experiments, conducting animal and human clinical trials, accurate collection, processing, management and interpretation of experimental data. You will contribute to scientific publications, research reports, and seminar and conferences presentation.
What you will need
To be successful in this role, the minimum qualifications required are:
- A recent PhD (completed or submitted) in Human Nutrition or related sciences.
- Experienced in conducting animal and human trials.
- A sound theoretical and practical working knowledge of chemistry and metabolite analysis.
- Practical laboratory experience and a willingness to become familiar with a range of laboratory instruments and software used to process and analyse biological samples.
- Organised, methodical and committed to effective project management and accurate record keeping.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
