What you will be doing

You will develop, configure and deploy science informatics systems.  This will include understanding system functional requirements and identifying solutions, developing, maintaining, documenting and enhancing applications and using source code repositories and issue tracking systems as required. 

Using your collaboration skills you will build strong relationships with science and operational employees and other software developers within the organisation to assist with managing data and connecting data to optimise usage, analyse system functional requirements and identify appropriate solutions.

What you will need

  • Graduate level qualification in informatics, with a minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within a large scale data analysis environment
  • Experience in the Agile Scrum Development methodology
  • Knowledge of, or experience in, the horticulture industry is preferred
  • Experience in championing and implementing change projects in relevant areas would be beneficial
  • Experience in the design, development, implementation and deployment of information systems
  • Creativity and the ability to work with abstract concepts
  • Extensive knowledge of systems, software and programming languages
