This project sits within the Growing Futures' research direction "Digital Hortilcultural Systems" (name to be confirmed), and is focused on the programme "Modelling thriving, productive, agroecosystems".

The aim of this project is to compile knowledge about how ecological and biogeochemical processes in the broader landscape contribute to the health, mauri and productivity of orchard ecosystems, for the purpose of informing the development of models that capture these processes.

Duties

Working with the supervisors and project teams to collate and synthesise data and knowledge around the catchment-level factors that influence the health/mauri and productivity of orchard ecosystems.

Communicate results with the project team, the wider direction, PFR, and relevant external stakeholders.

Aim of project and nature of duties/techniques:

The aim of this project is to compile knowledge about how ecological and biogeochemical processes in the broader landscape contribute to the health, mauri and productivity of orchard ecosystems, for the purpose of informing the development of models that capture these processes. The duties will involve literature searches, conversations with key knowledge holders both internally and externally to PFR, compilation of databases along with basic analysis of findings, and communication of findings to PFR staff and relevant stakeholders.
