Our team and mission

The End-User Projects and Access Governance Section is part of the ESA Information Technology Department within the Directorate of Internal Services.
The Section is the technical authority and competence centre, with respect to end users, for digital workplace capabilities (collaboration tools, smart space and unified communication) across the Agency. The team is responsible for keeping continuously abreast of digital workplace technology and, by means of collaboration with the user communities and through a shared governance board, setting up projects to develop new capabilities before transferring them over to operations. Within the Section, the Adoption Team is responsible for driving the adoption and usage of the new capabilities to achieve the expected results and outcomes. The team is also in charge of identity governance: the policy-based centralised orchestration of user identity management and access control.

Field(s) of activity/research for the traineeship

As a Young Graduate Trainee, you will contribute to the definition of the end-user environment (end user computing, smart space and collaboration) by identifying, proposing and supporting the implementation and the adoption of tools and processes within the Microsoft Office 365 ecosystem, thus fulfilling the Agency’s digital collaboration needs.

You should have just completed or be in the final year of your master’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline.


Additional requirements

Specific knowledge of one of the following disciplines will be considered an asset:

  • Microsoft Office 365 ecosystem
  • Microsoft Azure ecosystem
  • Collaboration tools
  • Smart space
  • Identity and access control
  • Adoption and change management

You should have good interpersonal and communication skills and should be able to work in a multicultural environment, both independently and as part of a team.

The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
