Updated: about 2 years ago
Deadline: 10 Apr 2022

Maastricht University (UM) is looking for a web master to work in the Technology-Enhanced Education (TEE-) programme . Our aim to improve support structures includes the creation of a one-stop-shop that helps teachers navigate online resources from re-design guides to the professional development offer. For this task, we are looking for a webmaster at EDLAB. Together with our educational experts and communication officers, you are responsible for the development of the one-stop-shop; to work on the further development of the Tool Wheel and Tool Box, and preferably transferring it to HTML-5. You bring the technical expertise and the interest in developing an accessible and engaging website for teacher development.

Background

In the past two years UM has gained a multitude of experiences leading to the conclusion that the use of technology can strengthen and enrich our problem-based-learning concept, if well-designed. The recently initiated TEE-programme aims at embedding the lessons learned from the lockdowns, in a sustainable way. The main objective of the TEE-programme is to optimise the support for teaching staff, based on well-founded didactic principles and create room for innovation. By doing this, we aim to improve the implementation of blended learning within our PBL-context.

The TEE-programme operates under the banner of EDLAB , the Maastricht University Institute for Education Innovation. At EDLAB, we promote an optimal learning experience for students of Maastricht University by advancing the field of teaching and learning for both students and staff. We define innovation as the process of creating new ideas and practices to address educational needs – to do different things, and doing things differently.

EDLAB is located in the Tapijn Barracks, close to Maastricht’s city centre.

What are your duties & responsibilities?

  • You are responsible for the technical development one-stop-shop supporting teachers in their educational responsibilities
