Job description

The Spatial omics group for regenerative medicine, at the MERLN institute (Maastricht University) is seeking a 2 year-postdoctoral researcher. The postdoctoral researcher would be responsible for the development and application of mass spectrometry-based methods to characterize different in vitro models for regenerative medicine using proteomics and mass spectrometry imaging. One of goals of this research is to design highly reproducible bioengineered tissue constructs that can be used as quality control standards for the implementation of mass spectrometry in clinical diagnostics.

The selected candidate will be offered the ability to work closely together with existing PhD candidates and to develop her/his own mentorship skills.

  • PhD in a related field (e.g. Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or similar)
  • Excellent written and oral skills

Conditions of employment

The position is temporary for the duration of 2 years.

Depending on experience and qualification, the maximum gross monthly salary is
€ 4,670 (on a full-time basis) in accordance with scale 10 of the Dutch university collective bargaining agreement. An 8% holiday and an 8.3% year-end allowance is also provided.
