Teacher programme Advanced Technology

For the programme Advanced Technology a vacancy for a teacher within the programme has opened. Main two tasks are secretary of the examination board and a leading role in project education. The position of secretary of the examination board includes the preparation and evaluation of the course programmes and BSc assignments of each student. The nature of the programme makes that each student has their own course programme and a large part of the decision is mandated to the secretary. A leading role in project education includes the responsibility for content and organization of several projects within the programme.

Our scientists are recognized worldwide for their high quality research. Within the faculty, research is focused on nanotechnology, biomedical engineering, clinical technology, sustainable energy technology and smart devices. There is a strong collaboration with industrial partners and other national and international research institutes. Research is funded to a large extent by industrial and other external partners, as well as science foundations. We offer a range of bachelor and master courses in Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, Biomedical Technology, Technical Medicine, Advanced Technology and a master in Nanotechnology.

The Faculty of Science & Technology (Technische Natuurwetenschappen, TNW) engages some 700 staff members and 2000 students in education and research on the cutting edge of chemical technology, applied physics and biomedical technology. Our fields of application include sustainable energy, process technology and materials science, nanotechnology and technical medicine. As part of a people-first tech university that aims to shape society, individuals and connections, our faculty works together intensively with industrial partners and researchers in the Netherlands and abroad, and conducts extensive research for external commissioning parties and funders. Our research has a high profile both in the Netherlands and internationally and is strengthened by the many young researchers working on innovative projects with as doctoral candidates and post-docs. It has been accommodated in three multidisciplinary UT research institutes: Mesa+ Institute, TechMed Centre and Digital Society Institute.
