Teacher for the Master Science Education and Communication (0.5 FTE)

The School of Science and Engineering has a temporary vacancy for a teacher in the Master Science Education and Communication.

You will join a small team of teachers that together takes care of the teaching in the Master Science Education and Communication. This programme teaches students to become science communicators or high-school teachers in physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology or computer sciences.
You will be teaching in the course Research Methods for Science Education and Communication and supervise student projects, with a focus on Research in Science Education and (especially) Science Communication. You will also act as coordinator of a course on Science History and Philosophy, which is mainly taught by guest lecturers. You will be affiliated to ISEC, the Institute for Science Education and Communication.

We are therefore looking for a candidate with a research background in science education and communication, preferably with a PhD in this field, or someone with a strong background in science and additional experience with research in science education or communication.
