Software Engineering Education Technical Coordinator

Have you always thrived in a classroom, being close to students? Do you want to be part of  a thriving Software Engineering program? Do you want to work closely with word-class researchers and support them in connecting to our students? We are looking for and Education Officer to support the coordination and infrastructure of our software engineering and related studies.

What are you going to do?

You will support coordinators and lecturers in developing their research-based material for software engineering and computer science courses. This included deployment of and helping students use relevant technologies (e.g. Kubernetes clusters, Git repositories, development environments, etc..) Additionally, you work closely with the Thesis Coordinator and the Program Director to support the student graduation process including supporting student study success in their masters program.

Preferably you have experience with software development infrastructures and devops.

Our offer

We offer a temporary employment contract for 38 max hours per week for a period of 12 months. The preferred starting date is as soon as possible. If we assess your performance positive, a permanent contract will follow.

The gross monthly salary, based on 38 hours per week and dependent on relevant experience, ranges between €3.377 and €4.640 (scale 9). Depending on work experience, an initial scale may apply. This monthly salary does not include 8% holiday allowance and 8,3% year-end allowance. The UFO profile Education/Research officer 2 is applicable. For this position we can not sponsor a visa. The Collective Labour Agreement of Universities of the Netherlands is applicable.

About us

The education is provided by lecturers and researchers working within the GSI itself or at various research institutes, including the Instituut voor Informatica (IvI), the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC) and the Korteweg-de Vries Instituut voor Wiskunde (KDV).
