Job description

Within the Career and Professional Skills (CAPS) team, we are looking for another skills trainer/coach. You will be part of our team of 9 trainers/coaches, each with their own expertise. Our Career and Professional Skills team forms part of the central department Education and Student Affairs (ESA) and delivers services to all BSc/MSc students and Eng D (Engineering Doctorate) trainees from all faculties.

What will you be doing

  • Teach the course Career Development to master students. In this course, students will work under your guidance for eight weeks on self-assessment, labor market orientation and different ways of presenting themselves.    
  • Coaching and training of Eng D trainees on location at JADS in
    ‘s-Hertogenbosch, 16 hours per week.
  • Design and facilitate compelling training sessions to improve professional skills.  

Give training, specifically in English, in various areas of professional skills (collaboration, planning & organizing, presentation and reflection).
Individual coaching sessions (Career & Study) to stimulate the personal and professional growth of students.

Job requirements

What are we looking for in our new colleague?

  • You are creative and able to adapt training to various target groups.
  • You have good command of English (writing and speaking).
  • You are available 28-32 hours per week.
  • You have experience in coaching and in the delivery and design of training.

What we offer

An exciting position with lots of student contact within an international and technical university. You will be in the midst of students, on a green campus within walking distance of the central station. In addition, we offer:

  • A monthly salary of minimum €3.377,- to maximum €5.090,- for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience (scale 9 or 10 – collective labor agreement Dutch Universities).
  • It concerns an appointment for the period of one year for 0.7 to 0.8 fte with a view to an employment contract for an indefinite period immediately afterwards. You can possibly be appointed through EuFlex, the TU/e’s secondment organization.
  • In addition to vacation pay, a structural year-end bonus of 8,3%.
