Job description

We are offering an exciting short-term postdoctoral position to participate in a RIVM and GGD-GHOR-funded research project investigating COVID vaccination. The project is concerned with the reasons why various social groups in society lag behind in terms of COVID vaccination uptake, and which interventions can be successfully implemented to promote COVID vaccination.


As the postdoctoral researcher on the team you will coordinate the vaccination uptake research component of the project. Your activities will include the communication and consultation with project partners and stakeholders, undertaking literature research and intervention mapping, preparing and conducting (mainly qualitative) research, and the supervision of the Master’s students, working on the project as interns.

The postdoctoral researcher will also provide assistance on other research projects, conducted in the research group Interdisciplinary Social Science: Public Health, with a focus on sustainability behaviour.


Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate:

  • who has completed a PhD in a behavioural or social science, with expertise in health behaviour and an affinity for qualitative research;
  • who is familiar with the theory and practice of intervention mapping;
  • who has experience conducting interdisciplinary research and working in a transdisciplinary team;
  • with strong project management skills.

Offer

We offer a temporary position (0.8 FTE) for a period of nine months. The gross salary - depending on previous qualifications and experience  - ranges between €2,836 and €4,474 (scale 10 according to the Collective Labour Agreement Dutch Universities) per month for a full-time employment. Salaries are supplemented with a holiday bonus of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3% per year.
