Researcher/PostDoc Female-Led Innovation in Agriculture and Rural Areas

To contribute to a Horizon Europe Research and innovation project (15 partners from 10 countries) on Female-Led Innovation in Agriculture and Rural Areas TU Delft is hiring a postdoc.

Activities include the following:

  • To envision the role of women in the innovations demanded for sustainable farm and rural futures, which includes surveys and workshops.
  • Case studies of female led Innovations in farming and rural areas, which includes interviews in the Dutch language.
  • TU Delft will lead the policy design and assessment work package, which work package includes to develop a framework, policy practice discussions, developing new policy proposals and addressing policy makers.
  • Communication and dissemination of results for academic, professional and popular audiences.
  • Frequent interactions with other partners in the consortium.

The successful candidate for this position has:

  • Experience in qualitative scientific research (shown by scientific publications, preferable a PhD).
  • Relevant academic master’s degree (administrative sciences, anthropology, human geography, sociology, spatial or landscape planning, or so).
  • Insights in policy design and assessment.
  • Professional command of the Dutch language enabling to organise and lead workshops and to held interviews in Dutch.
  • English language proficiency to write reports, papers and to exchange approaches and outcomes in English.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Relational skills.

Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities. The salary is min. € 2.960,- to max. € 5.439,- gross per month (salary scale 10 or 11; depending on the working experience and education level of the candidate. Besides the salary you a;so receive an annual holiday payment of 8% and an end of year bonus of 8.3%.

The position has a fixed-term contract of 30 months.
