Research at our faculty
The Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for Sustainability is an interdisciplinary research centre in which three universities join forces: Leiden University, Delft University of Technology and Erasmus University Rotterdam.  We work together to accelerate the transition towards a circular economy.
We believe that this transition asks for a systematic and holistic research approach.  Researchers from different disciplines have work together. And we have to reach out to stakeholders from practice to understand the problems we have to tackle. That is why we have developed an open research format in our so called "Knowledge & Innovation Hubs."
Our knowledge and innovation hubs form the core of our centre. A hub is an open research programme that connect master students, researchers, municipalities and businesses. We focus on the province of Zuid-Holland. We focus on three areas: cities, horticulture and industry.
This research project contributes to the development of the Cities Hub. For more information see: https://www.centre-for-sustainability.nl/hubs/the-cities-hub .
