About the project
The READJUST project envisions a future where Europe’s transition to a greener, more digital economy is inclusive and equitable. Funded by Horizon Europe, we are committed to correcting unintended disparities caused by major policies. You as a Research Officer will focus on conducting collaborative research to bridge the gap between research findings and policymaking, ensuring alignment with both green and digital transition goals. You’ll work closely with a diverse team, contributing to research that informs smarter, more considerate policymaking. What are you going to do
As a Research Officer, you’ll delve into the socioeconomic impacts of EU policies in terms of inequalities, collaborate with an international team, and help synthesize data to guide policy adjustments.
Task and responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed research on topics like green finance and digital literacy;
  • engage with various stakeholders through interviews and discussions;
  • draft reports that translate findings into actionable insights;
  • assist with managing and coordinating project tasks across a dynamic consortium.


You will be working as Research Officer for an average of 16 hours per week.
You’ll join a vibrant, supportive team that includes two Assistant Professors from the University of Amsterdam as your direct team and will collaborate with the international partners of the READJUST. We foster a collaborative atmosphere conducive to both professional growth and impactful research. Participate in academic seminars and social events at the Amsterdam Business School, enhancing your experience within the Amsterdam Digital Transformation Lab.
Your profile
A proactive team member who thrives in dynamic settings and can turn complex research into strategic actions. You should have a strong analytical background and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary settings. A background in business and economics, social sciences, or environmental studies at a MSc level (or its equivalent educational levels) is beneficial. Fluency in Dutch or Spanish is preferred, and proficiency in additional European languages is advantageous.

Our offer
We offer part-time for 16 hours a week employment for the period of one year preferably starting from 1 July 2024.
The UFO profile Research Officer applies to this position. This position is classified in scale 7. This means a gross monthly salary between € 2693 and € 3,636 for full-time employment (38 hours per week), excluding holiday allowance (8%) and year-end bonus (8.3%). The salary scale depends on competences and work experience.
The Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities is applicable.
