Are you passionate about scientific research? And do you want to help conduct cutting-edge research on the topic of cognitive neuroscience? As a Research Assistant for the Donders Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging, you help researchers collect the data they need in order to investigate the inner workings of the human brain.
The Donders Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging is currently recruiting research assistants for the research assistants (RA) pool to support research projects in humans conducted at DCCN. The research assistants in the RA pool build up expertise and are deployed in a diverse set of projects.
Dependent on the projects at hand, you will be responsible for the participant study process: recruitment, inclusion and exclusion procedures, schedule appointments, informed consent procedure, explaining the experimental procedure and tasks to participants, train, assist and/or conduct behavioural studies, EEG, MEG and/or MRI recordings. You will be responsible for collecting, checking and archiving all documents essential according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines within the study. Your responsibilities will also include managing or performing data analysis under supervision and reporting.
If successful in your application, you will be part of our RA pool. You will be linked to research projects which best match your skill set and your availability. The projects will vary in length, and may require flexibility in employability in the evenings and/ or weekends.
Profile
- Accuracy and patience are essential because of the nature of the studies.
- You have at least a Master's degree in Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychology or a related field.
- You have good organisational skills (planning appointments, managing datasets with information on participants).
- You have a good command of English and preferably Dutch.
- You have excellent social skills, a proactive attitude, and team spirit.
- Preferably, you will have an ICH-GCP qualification or be willing to work towards one.
- Preferably, experience with any of the following techniques: EEG, MEG, fMRI, Brain Stimulation (e.g., TMS, tACs, tDCs, tUS).

We offer
- Employment for 0.8 - 1.0 FTE.
- The gross monthly salary amounts to a minimum of €2,367 and a maximum of €3,196 based on a 38-hour working week, depending on previous education and number of years of relevant work experience (salary scale 7 ).
- You will receive 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% end-of-year bonus.
- It concerns a temporary employment for 1 year.
