Offer Description

LDE is a co-operation between Leiden University, Delft University and Erasmus University Rotterdam. This program has received funding from the three LDE partners and evolved into research centre LDE GMD . Therefore, the LDE Research Center GMD is looking for a Project Manager, which will be mainly based at Erasmus University Rotterdam. However, the Project Manager will work for all partners within LDE GMD.

This position is an exciting opportunity to work towards a program of research, teaching and impact activities in collaboration with senior academic staff members of the LDE Center and its constituent departments at Leiden, Delft and Erasmus University.

The Project Manager will mainly be responsible for all management tasks in supporting an interdisciplinary and interuniversity research center. This implies that the primary tasks are related to the everyday management, organization, communication and administration of the center, as well as for coordination of the Master track collaboration GMD since the LDE program ‘Governance of Migration and Diversity’ (GMD) has been running a highly successful master specialisation  over the last years. The Project Manager will support activities related to the governance, social media communication and events organisation of LDE GMD (such as staff exchanges, joint teaching and training opportunities, conferences, seminars and symposia) that make the activities of the center visible.

Importantly, this position contains various developmental opportunities to grow in more education and research (support) roles, for which a highly stimulating environment is provided.

While the Project Manager will mainly be active in the support and organizing activities to build up LDE GMD, there are many opportunities for self-initiated activities to boost the impact of the center. In that regard, the Project Manager will cooperate with LDE colleagues and in close contact with the Managing and Academic Directors.
