What we offer

  • An initial appointment as full professor for five years. Thereafter an evaluation will take place and a decision will be made whether or not to continue the chair. The criteria for evaluation will be specified in a personal workplan.
  • A fulltime job (1.0 fte), but part time work (0.8 fte) can be discussed.
  • A salary based on the Dutch collective labor agreement for Universities (monthly salary between € 6,099 and € 8,881 pre-taxes for a fulltime job).
  • A one-off reimbursement of moving costs if you life more than 40 kilometers from Maastricht and move to the Maastricht area.

As the bearer of the “Family-friendly University” quality mark, we offer flexible working hours and the possibility to work partly from home if the nature of your position allows this. For this you will receive a monthly work-from-home and internet allowance. If you come to work for us full-time, you are entitled to 30 annual vacation days. If you make use of the option to build up compensation hours, and additional 12 days will be added. In addition, you can personalize your terms of employment on the basis of a collective labor agreement model. As an UM employee you can also participate in company fitness and make use of the very extensive range of sports that we also offer our students.
