Offer Description

The SHRM group at Radboud University is looking for a postdoctoral researcher who would like to contribute to fostering a future-proof Smart Industry with a robust and resilient workforce, where employees are keen to keep developing themselves. Are you interested in co-creating knowledge and solutions together with end users (e.g. production workers)? And do you share our passion for combining scientific rigour with making societal impact? If yes, come and join our team as a postdoctoral researcher.

In this externally funded position, you will design and conduct longitudinal quantitative and qualitative studies involving production workers and managers. The purpose of these studies is to investigate the use, outcomes and consequences of smart production systems, to evaluate their performance, and to gain an understanding of production workers' viewpoints and experiences. One of your main tasks will be to design, implement and coordinate a large panel study on production workers in Smart Industry. Another important task will be to design, implement and evaluate interventions in job design and craftsmanship of production workers in Smart Industry. You will be expected to report and present your findings to both scientific and non-scientific audiences, at scientific conferences, in journal publications, and in workshops for Smart Industry communities.

The home base for your research will be Radboud University in Nijmegen, but you will also be part of a larger research team of PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers and senior researchers from a number of research and applied science universities in the Netherlands. Our team also includes experts who help to disseminate results, coordinate with our partners in practice, and develop tools for use in future practice. You will also have ample opportunities to share knowledge with them. We currently have five new positions open in this project at Radboud University and the University of Twente. Please also check our website for the other positions at .

It is possible to apply for more than one position. We kindly ask you to send separate letters, but to indicate in your letter which other position(s) you are applying for.
